Small Towns, Big Heroes Exhibit To Feature 12 Local Heroes

Freeport, Illinois – The United Way believes there are many heroes in Northwest Illinois that go unrecognized. With that belief they chose to feature twelve individuals and their stories in a photo exhibit they are calling “Small Town Big Heroes”.

Help the United Way celebrate one of the regions greatest assets, our people and their commitment to improving lives. Join them on September 24th for the unveiling of this wonderful exhibit. This is truly a community celebration and collaboration.

Photography was done by Dreibelbis & Fairweather Studio. Interviewing of the twelve featured individuals was done by Tim Connors. The frames that will be used as part of the art exhibit will be built at a frame building workshop featuring Meier Design House at the The Wagner House on August 24th. This event will also help to kick off the inaugural Tour de Freeport.

The event is FREE and open to the public.
