4. Lincoln-Douglas Debate Commemorative Program

Celebrate this annual program to commemorate the historic 1858 debate between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas. The day includes having lunch with Abe and Steve at 9 East Coffee with meals on your own/no RSVP required. The program will be held at 5 pm at Debate Square and then will be followed by dinner with Lincoln and Douglas at This Is It Eatery (where you can “Chug with Doug”) with meals on your own/no RSVP required. The program at Debate Square will include the Freeport NJROTC Color Guard. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. 3. Colby Smith Memorial 4 Mile Classic

A 4 mile run between St. Thomas Church and Aquin High School at 1419 S. Galena Avenue, Freeport. Includes a post race pancake breakfast sponsored by Aquin Servant Leaders. 2. The 4th annual Zealous/Team Son Tattoo~a~Thon

Zealous and Team Son are looking to shatter some records while raising awareness & educating people about suicide prevention. They say the Tats-4-Life title came to be with a double meaning. One, tattoos are with you for life and two, by getting a tattoo at this event you are supporting life.  “You are helping to raise funds & education as we strive to live in a world without suicide“, they say. 100% of the proceeds go to the AFSP in memory of Cody Larsen & any loved one’s lost to suicide. You are encouraged to bring everyone you know, have lunch, maybe get your nails done, who knows what else might be in store for you.
