Win Cash Prizes in FHN’s Virtual Festival of Trees

FREEPORT, Ill., Nov. 29, 2016 — FHN’s Community Festival of Trees draws hundreds of people to the Freeport Public Library each holiday season to see trees decorated by non-profit organizations competing for cash prizes. This year, FHN is offering an online Festival of Trees for the public, complete with cash prizes.

The FHN Virtual Festival of Trees, hosted online on the FHN Facebook page ( gives the public a chance to show off their holiday decorations and win cash prizes.

To enter, take a photo of your family’s holiday decorations – either outside or inside – and submit your photo through the contest app on the FHN Facebook page ( by Sunday, Dec. 25. (You can also reach the app and enter the contest by clicking on the banner at the top of Once you’ve entered, share your entry and encourage your friends and family to vote for your photo. Voting ends Saturday, Dec. 31.

All photos that get at least 5 votes will be entered into a random draw, and we’ll choose and announce winners Jan. 3, 2017. Three entries will win cash prizes:

First Prize: $250 ** Second Prize: $150  ** Third Prize: $75

You must reside in FHN’s service area to win a prize in the FHN Virtual Festival of Trees.
