Freeport – Well, good news, the cold weather means the ice skating rink located by the Read Park Family Aquatic Center might be open tonight.
We stopped by this mornig and spoke with park distict staff who was there preparing the rink for possible use. While the rink isn’t open at this time, they did tell us that there’s a chance the rink may be open this evening depending on how much snow we get, they said.
Currently, because of the wamer weather, skating at the Ice Rink and skating at Krape Park hasn’t been available. With this extreme cold wave, hopefully it will at least open up the opportunity for us ice skating lovers to get out on the ice. This has been a quick mid day up date, keep watching Today In the Port for more local area news.
