Get A Special Kid-Size Sundae At The Union Dairy And A Free One-Day Pass To A Children’s Museum

FREEPORT, ILLINOIS — The Children’s Hands-On Museum of Northwest Illinois is keeping active in the community despite the stay-at-home order of Illinois. And the organization says beginning this week you can get the special edition “CHOMdae” sundae at Union Dairy.

The “CHOMdae” is a kid-size sundae and the Children’s Hands-On Museum saays with an order your child receives a free one-day pass to the museum to be used when they reopen, while supplies last.

The Children’s Hands-On Museum of Northwest Illinois is a privately funded nonprofit organization that relies on both the generosity of the community and revenue from daily visitors to operate. The mission of the Children’s Hands-On Museum of Northwest Illinois is to Inspire all children and families to learn, explore, and create through interactive experiences.

Currently the Children’s Hands-On Museum of Northwest Illinois is temporarily closed to the public in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Museum closed on March 14th.

Since then, the Board of Directors said they have been monitoring the situation and made the decision not to reopen the doors until “we feel it is safe for our visitors and volunteers”.   They said they anticipate being closed until at least October 2020.

The Children’s Hands-On Museum of Northwest Illinois is located at 1233 W Galena Ave, inside the Lincoln Mall.

Union Dairy is open Friday – Sunday for curbside pickup, from 12-6 pm. The Union Dairy is located at 126 East Douglas in downtown Freeport.
