FREEPORT, ILLINOIS — The Freeport Community Foundation announces nominations are open for the 2019 Matthew A. Marvin Community Impact Award. This award honors an individual or nonprofit organization whose notable contributions to the community set a high standard of quality and positive impact. In addition to the recognition, the recipient is awarded $1,000 to present to the winner’s chosen non-profit 501(c) (3) charitable organization.
Nomination forms can be found on our website: www.freeportcommunityfoundation.org. You may also call or email the Foundation to request a copy of this form. Nominators will be asked to include a detailed (750-word) narrative about the nominee. Nominations are due at the Foundation office by September 12, 2019.
The recipient will be announced at the Foundation’s Fall Grant and Donor Reception on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at the Eagles Club, 1200 West Galena Avenue, Freeport, IL. Prior winners of the award: Matthew A. Marvin (2013), David A Steenrod (posthumously 2014), Alan Wenzel (2015), Bill Kloos (2016), Marjorie Phillips (2017) and Teri Winter (2018).
