FREEPORT, ILLINOIS — With the new restrictions being placed in our region for the coronavirus, (no more than 10 people gathering), the city of Freeport has announced it will be closing City Hall to all individuals unless they have an appointment effective Thursday, October 29, 2020. This will remain in effect until further notice.
The city said they will continue to be available by telephone and email from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Water and Sewer billing office in City Hall will be closed on Thursday and Friday, October 28th and 29th for training. Voicemail will be available to leave a message at 815-233-0111.

Water and Sewer Payment Customers Are Asked to Use the Drop Boxes on Exchange Street Entrance and the SW Corner of Cherry and Stephenson if possible and to sign up for electronic payments. For new service please call to make an appointment.
The Freeport Public Library hours will be changing to 9 am – 6 pm effective Thursday, October 29, 2020.
