Freeport, Illinois — To say that Logan’s Bar & Grill does a lot for Freeport would be an understatement if there ever were one. Logan’s is ‘always’ doing something to give back to our community, people or towards a special cause and we’ve unearthed yet another way our favorite bar & grill has given back.
In August of this year, as a way to celebrate teacher appreciation month, Logan’s Bar & Grill had a friendly competition. A competition among schools (and teachers) in Stephenson County and a chance for one lucky school to get some extra money.
For any teacher of any Stephenson County school who visited Logan’s for lunch or dinner and showed their ID Badge, Logan’s set aside 5% of their bill to go to the winning school. The winning school is the school with the most teachers who showed up to Logan’s and showed their ID Badge in the month of August.
Today Logan’s announced that Blackhawk Elementary school was the winner of the teacher appreciation competition. The final standings were as follows;
- Blackhawk (34)
- Carl Sandburg (19)
- Immanuel Lutheran (11)
- Freeport High School (6)
- Jones Farrar (2)
- Taylor Park (1)
Logan’s said they will be donating $100.00 to the winning school, which is a little more actually than the 5% originally stated.
Congratulations to all the teachers who took part in the competition, and a big congrats to Blackhawk Elementary for taking the prize.
