Fire Breaks Out In An Apartment At 3001 Loras Drive

Freeport, Illinois — Sometime before 3:30 p.m. today local Fire were called to 3001 Loras drive for reports of a fire. We arrived on the scene as the fire crews were on the scene and spoke with a neighbor who lives in the apartment building across the street.

Unconfirmed reports at the scene state that an apartment on the lower level caught fire sometime before the woman who lives there came home.

It was said that the woman who lives in the apartment wasn’t there and upon arrival, discovered the fire when she opened her door. At that point the fire department was called.

The neighbor pointed out the woman who lived in the apartment, where she was standing outside and appeared to be ok. We were told that there was a dog inside the apartment and that the dog didn’t make it.
