Around The Region – Flooding In Galena, Illinois

Galena, Illinois — At 232 PM CST, emergency management officials reported flooding across the warned area. Numerous reports of closed roads due to high water have been received. Two to three inches of rain have already
fallen. Flooding due to frozen ground and heavy rain will continue.

Some locations that will experience flooding include… Freeport, Sterling, Rock Falls, Maquoketa, Morrison, Galena, Mount Carroll, Savanna, Lena, Bellevue, Prophetstown, Stockton, East Dubuque, Erie, Lanark, Warren, Garden Plain, Milledgeville, Preston and Fairhaven.

Additional rainfall amounts of less than half an inch are possible in the warned area.
