Got Windshield Ice, Here’s A Homemade Way To Remove It

It is easy to make homemade de-icer that you can use for helping to clean off your car on snowy mornings.

This recipe is not the same thing as an ice preventative, which you put on your windshields the night before so they don’t accumulate much ice. This is a solution that helps you loosen the ice once its on the windshield so it is much easier to scrap off!

So here’s the recipe:

  • 2 parts rubbing alcohol
  • 1 part water

Combine the 2 parts rubbing alcohol and 1 part water into a clean spray bottle, and swirl it around to mix.

Make sure you carefully label your spray bottle and never keep it in the reach of children, and use as you would any other deicer.

That means when it’s time to scrape your car’s windshield in the morning spray the solution directly onto the ice and it will help make it significantly easier to remove all that ice from the glass.
