Freeport, Illinois — Colorectal cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer deaths in the United States – but it can be treated successfully and even prevented if caught early.

Join FHN Medical Oncologist Arshad Shaikh, MD for a free talk about the causes of and risk factors for colon cancer from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14 at the FHN Family Healthcare Center – Burchard Hills, 1010 W. Fairway Drive in Freeport.

Dr. Shaikh will talk about preventative measures that can help reduce the risk of developing colorectal cancers and FHN’s capabilities for diagnosis and treatment. Refreshments will be served, and information and healthy recipes will be given out. There is no charge to attend this FHN Speaker Series event, but registration is requested.
