Freeport, Illinois — FHN is proud to be participating in a Back to School Celebration for area students at King Community Campus in Freeport.
The event will feature information sessions for parents and students, food, games, entertainment, vendors and onsite registration for Freeport District 145. FHN will offer $20 sport physicals from 1:30 – 3 p.m. (For more information and downloadable forms, visit http://tiny.cc/FHNSports.)
Attendees also can visit the food pantry truck on site, get health information from FHN, get community information, apply for District 145 jobs and register to vote.
Backpack giveaways start at 11 a.m. and will run through 1:15 p.m. The food pantry will be open from 1:30 until the available food is gone. King Community Campus is located at 511 S. Liberty Avenue in Freeport.
Children in grades kindergarten through 8th grade will receive a free backpack and school supplies after attending 2 information sessions with parents. (The first session begins at 11 a.m.) There is a limit of 3 backpacks per family; 20 Chrome Book computer carrying cases are available for high school students.
Free transportation is available to this event. The bus will stop at Willow at 10:30 a.m.; Westview at 10:40 a.m.; and Parkside at 10:50 a.m. A parent must accompany children on the bus. This program is not sponsored by the Freeport School District.
