Accident on Route 26 Orangeville, Injures 5

Orangeville, Illinois — According to a Stephenson County Sheriff’s Department news release around 3 p.m. on November 25, 2016 an accident occurred on Route 26 that involved a Pontiac Bonneville and a Ford F150.

According to the release an unidentified person was airlifted this afternoon following the crash which took place near Kundert Road.  According to reports the Pontiac Bonneville was driving in the wrong lane when it sideswiped the Ford F150. The Pontiac overturned on the west side of the road.

One passenger in the Bonneville was flown to Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford while two others were taken to Monroe Clinic Emergency Room. Another two people were taken to Freeport Memorial Hospital.

Occupants in the Ford were reported uninjured.

Illinois State Police Department, Orangeville Fire Department, Green County EMS, Lifeline Helicopter and several ambulance services assisted at the scene.
