Driver Ejected From Vehicle During Crash On Dublin Rd

STEPHENSON COUNTY, ILLINOIS — The Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a single vehicle roll over accident that claimed the life of one man who was ejected from his vehicle during a crash on Dublin Rd.

The Sheriff’s Office reports that on September 2nd, 2020 at approximately 10:57pm, their office received a report of a single vehicle roll over accident with injuries on Dublin Rd East of Rees Rd. The vehicle involved was a Dodge Ram 2500, according to a statement released.

Upon arrival, Deputies found that the 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 had been traveling Eastbound Dublin Rd.

“The driver lost control of the vehicle and slid into the north side ditch. This caused the vehicle to roll over several times. The driver of the Dodge Ram 2500 was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.”

The name of the deceased is being withheld at this time pending family notification. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time and is still under investigation.

The Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Leamon’s Ambulance, Stephenson County Coroner’s Office, Illinois State Police, Pearl City Fire Department and Pearl City Ambulance.
