Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Illinois say a great big thanks is due to local business owner Stu Garwick of Freeport Bicycle Company for donating a bike, helmet and lock to one of their small friends. Stu also worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters to make sure three more bikes were offered at cost to FHN.

As part of a wellness program, FHN employees rode bikes in response to a challenge which is what made this possible.

FHN employees rode bikes to earn points. 500 points equated into one donated bike.

FHN earned over 1,000 points which allowed them to donate two bicycles.  An anonymous donor donated the fourth.

In addition, the Chain Link Bike Group donated money for 3 helmets and locks to ensure all the kids who received bikes got the additional gear to keep them safe.
