Freeport, Illinois – The Freeport Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Tiffany King has accepted the position of Executive Director for the Freeport Area Chamber of Commerce. King has been with the Chamber for nine years and has served the organization and our members in various roles. King has developed value added services for Chamber members and has played a key role in the Chamber’s involvement with several community wide initiatives including the Small Business Collaborative and Collaborate Freeport.
King’s promotion is effective August 1st. The Freeport Area Chamber of Commerce is the largest business organization serving our area, with over 550 members. Under King’s direction, the Chamber will continue to provide leadership and value-added services through communication, networking, advocacy, and education to ensure business retention, continuous improvement, and an environment of economic prosperity for our members.
According to Tiffany Nieman, Freeport Area Chamber of Commerce Board Chair, “The Board of Directors is committed to the Chamber’s work on behalf of our community and members. The board understands that the Chamber’s involvement in several critical initiatives calls for a leader who is committed to building partnerships, enhancing member value, and working towards continuous improvement. The board believes that King embodies these qualities and will be an even more valuable asset to the Chamber and our members in her new role.”
Kim Grimes, Director of Membership Development and Sales, will continue to serve the Chamber in this capacity and will play a critical role in helping King to connect directly with Chamber members as well as helping to connect Chamber members with value added services offered by the Chamber. Julie Huber, the Chamber’s Receptionist and Administrative Assistant, will continue to serve in her current position.
