Freeport Police Make Arrest In Criminal Sexual Abuse and Unlawful Grooming Case

Freeport, Illinois — The Freeport Police have issued a press release stating that 44 year old Jonathan Fisher has been arrested. The arrest came on December 5, 2017 for charges related to a sexual abuse case involving more than one child, according to police.

Police say the alleged incident(s) occurred during a time span from June to August 2017 in Freeport and that an arrest warrant was issued, and Fisher was arrested outside his home without incident.

The Freeport Police Department express their appreciation for the quality police work performed by the Patrol Officers who began the initial investigation and Detectives who conducted extensive follow up that lead to charges being filed.

Freeport Police remind everyone that any person depicted in this press release is presumed innocent by the court until proven guilty in a court of law.

Charges filed against Jonathan Fisher were:

– Four Counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse
– Two Counts of Distribution of Harmful Material
– One Count of Unlawful Grooming
