Freeport School District 5 Year Per Pupil Spending Up 4 Percent To $18,011
Freeport, Illinois — Per student spending is up at Freeport School District 145 over the past five years, according to the Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card.
The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Stephenson County school district spent $17,399 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $18,011 in 2016-17.
Some additional items in the report, show 15.2% of FSD 145 students are Chronically-Truant.
In addition, the Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the percentage of students from each school who are ready for next level.
In addition to Freeport’s 2016-17 spending being 14 percent lower than the state average of $20,826, the district’s low income student percentage also saw a decrease. While still very high (at 67%), the number of low income students has decreased over the past five years.
