Illinois State Report Card on Area Schools Released – View Our Report Card

school_report_cardIllinois – The State’s Annual School Report Card is out and in it contains a complete source for information about public schools all across Illinois. The Illinois Report Card goes beyond test scores to present a complete view of schools. The information helps you to be an informed partner in your child’s education, giving parents and educators a clear snapshot of local school progress.

Things like student achievement, average class size, district finances and graduation rates are all a part of the data releases. We took a look at a few area schools and here are the results. We have also provided a video overview below.

Freeport School District 145

Student percentage that meet or exceed state standards on the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT).

  • 60% met or exceeded state standards in the State.

Students Who Graduated

The percentage of students who graduated within 4 or 5 years. A graduate is a student who graduated with a regular high school diploma in 4 or 5 years with the group of students he or she started with in the beginning of 9th grade.

  • 78% of Freeport students graduated within 4 years

2014 – Freeport School District 145 Students Who Graduated

  • 80% of Freeport students graduated within 4 years
  • 86% of students in the State graduated within 4 years

2015 – Freeport School District 145 Students Who Graduated

  • 82% of Freeport students graduated within 4 years
  • 85% of students in the State graduated within 4 years

Ready for College Coursework

Students who achieved a combined score of at least 21 on the ACT and therefore are classified as being Ready for College Coursework

  • 37% of Freeport students with a combined score of at least 21 on the ACT are ready for college.
  • 46% of students in the State with a combined score of at least 21 on the ACT are ready for college.

ACT Testing

The ACT is a standardized test consisting of multiple choice items in four different subjects. The ACT scores range from 0 to 36. Below shows the average score achieved by the students in the four subject areas plus a composite score. The district and state averages are included for comparison.
