NJCAA Men’s Bowling Champs To Receive Championship Rings Aug. 20

The Highland Men’s Bowling Team, who won the NJCAA National Championship in Buffalo last March, will be receiving their NJCAA National Championship Rings on Monday, August 20th at 5:30pm at The 4 Seasons Bowling Center in Freeport.

The Highland Cougar Men overcame a 47 pin deficit going into the last Baker game behind Ancilla College (Michigan) to with the NJCAA National Championship at Airport Lanes in Buffalo, NY. This is the first NJCAA National Championship for Highland CC.

Members of the team are Bryce Lawson, Jared Johnson, Gary Ramey, Larry Tripamer III, Trace Army, Evan Jaros, Bailey Luy, and Bryce Rives. These bowlers, as well as the incoming Freshman for the 2018-2019 season will be in attendance on Monday evening…in addition to Head Coach Kris Beach, Assistant Coach Thomas Endress, Director of Bowling Jeff Johnson, and Highland Athletic Director Pete Norman.

In addition to receiving their National Championship rings, they will also be receiving a Certificate of Recognition from the 100th General Assembly of the State of Illinois House of Representatives recognizing the accomplishment.
