ORANGEVILLE – A Stephenson County family’s home became the temporary garage of a fleeing motorists’s vehicle Sunday morning.
During a stop by a Stephenson County Sheriff’s Deputy for a traffic violation, Jonathan McMahon, the driver of the vehicle decided to flee the scene as the officer attempted to pull the suspects car over.
It was just after midnight when the deputy lost McMahon in the pursuit. McMahon was later seen on Rock Grove Rd by Bolender Rd at which point he attempted to make a curve in the road and lost control, driving into the kitchen of the family home. McMahon’s car continued through the kitchen busting through the back of the home and finally stopping approximately 50 feet on the other side.
The family did not suffer any injury. McMahon received serious injuries.
