Freeport, Illinois — July 31, 2017 — This past Saturday in Freeport, Illinois one of the summer’s most entertaining all day arts filled events took place at Krape Park and with it came a full day of peace, love and harmony that filled the air in Pretzel City.
This past weekend the Black Diamond 2017 Summer Music Festival took place and the all-day event saw musicians come from all over the region to perform for free, at a family friendly summer music event that looks like it’s going to become an annual Freeport tradition.
Over a dozen artists, bands and musicians played on a beautiful summer day starting at 11:00 a.m. with the final band taking the stage at around 9:30 p.m.
From 10 year old’s who play Johnny Cash music; rappers and hip hop artists who only sing about positive things; to solo artists, 80’s rock bands and seasoned musicians, there isn’t an event in Freeport that brings so much talent together all on a single day just for the love of music.
