On Call Volunteers Needed To Help Sexual Assault or Abuse Survivors – Training Provided

Freeport, Illinois — VOICES of Stephenson County is in critical need of volunteers to support their sexual assault program.

VOICES says that Volunteer Advocates are needed to provide 24-hour on call crisis intervention to survivors of sexual assault or abuse at the FHN Emergency Room (on call evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays 5-7 days a month). Volunteers will need to commit to one year of service with the agency, attend a 40-hour Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention training, and complete a criminal background check (finger print scan).

Training dates will be Wednesday evenings (5:30pm – 9pm) September 5th to November 14th 2018.
