United Sportsmen’s Youth Foundation 2018 Annual River Clean Event

Freeport, Illinois — Join United Sportsmen’s Youth Foundation in their annual River Clean event. This clean up effort is for young and old alike and is fun for the whole family.

A free lunch is provided to all volunteers. Service clubs are encouraged to participate. Camping is available. Volunteers are needed for vehicle runners and river site coordinators as well as sponsors and individuals with boats.

River Clean is an annual event, which not only has a positive impact on local wildlife, but also helps maintain the beauty of the Pecatonica River. It brings together families, youth groups as well as volunteers of all ages and backgrounds from throughout Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin united in one goal. This is a far reaching endeavor as “we all live downstream!”

    The Friends of the Pecatonica River Foundation meeting is Thursday, February 21, 2019, at 6:30pm at The Rafter’s Restaurant on Wagner Road, Lena, Illinois. The meeting will be in the Cafe’ Dining Room under the direction of our President Joe Ginger. Come join us and enjoy the good food served by our friends at The Rafter’s.
    The Friends of the Pecatonica River Foundation is a very active 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization which has accepted the responsibility of caring for the 58 miles of the Pecatonica River in Stephenson County.
    We are working on landing number five with four more to go. Come join us at the meeting and consider joining one of Northwestern Illinois most active organizations. The FPRF has received several national awards for our efforts in making your river the place to be. The FPRF is your key in making good things happen.
